Passenger Terminal Amsterdam installed five large flatscreens at the lobby.
Passenger Terminal Amsterdam is designed to offer cruise passengers an international port of call in the city of Amsterdam.
Passenger Terminal Amsterdam annually welcomes many ocean cruise ships visiting the Dutch capital and coordinates the welcome of about 225,000 passengers and the efficient dispatch of the ships. On top of this, many events are hosted at the terminal, from small to large and usually eye-catching.
To guide and inform the passengers and visitors in the best way, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam installed a digital signage information system.
In total seven dZine players are controlling 52 inch LCD displays, a LED panel, as well as a large LED display. The displays, connected to dZine players, can be used to show films or images at a certain event. During the cruise season, the displays are used to show information for cruise passengers, such as train departure times from Amsterdam Central Station, check in/out times, taxi rates, information on public transport, videos on cruise ships, etc.
The dZine IDS Server is installed on the file server of Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. One can log on to the system from different places at the terminal so content can be updated directly.
The advantage is the information can now be spread very quickly and in a professional way. Moreover, it all happens in a visual attractive format.
